At the beginning of the summer semester, 13 new employees started their journey into the world of academic excellence and high-quality education at LMU Munich School of Management.
The LMU Munich School of Management's onboarding program SOM.WELCOME takes place twice a year and is designed to provide new employees with comprehensive and valuable information to ensure a warm and smooth start to their positions. The onboarding program helps them to find their way around the faculty's organization.

The new team members received a warm welcome from the Dean Prof. Dr. Christian Hofmann and the heads of the respective departments and programs of the faculty as well as their future colleagues. They had the opportunity to get to know their new working environment and make initial contacts.

The onboarding program includes targeted introductions and information that are implemented in the respective institutes to provide the new employees with the necessary skills, contacts and knowledge for their respective tasks on site and to familiarize the new team members with the values, culture and goals of LMU Munich School of Management.

In addition, they receive special introductory events for the postgraduate MBR course and a subsequent mentoring program.

"We are delighted to welcome new members to our team each new semester," says Dr. Marco van Baal, Managing Director of LMU Munich School of Management. "Their commitment will help to further advance our organization and continue our mission of excellence in research and teaching."

The program is supported and provided with goodie bags by the faculty's own Alumni Management. “We are happy to support this event every semester. It is important to us that employees feel welcome right from the start and know what support opportunities they can receive from us as part of their career,” emphasizes Dr. Bettina Wachtel, Managing Director of LMU Management Alumni.

The LMU Munich School of Management is known for its international orientation, its excellence in research and its excellent teaching. With its broad spectrum of study programs and its close ties to business, it prepares its students for management positions in national and international companies.

The new members of staff are an important part of the team to strengthen the faculty's position at one of Europe's leading universities.
